Built as an apartment house and commercial building on the corner of Marjorie and South Howard Avenues in 1926, this building housed the Marjorie Apartments and the Howard Avenue Delicatessen. The land was purchased in 1925 for $5500. In 1927, a 3-room furnished apartment was rented for $40 a month. The building sold in 1945 for $35,000.

The building was sold and was renamed the Lexington Arms Apartments. Over several years, the retail section has housed realtors, doctors, and delis. In 1971, a furnished efficiency with wall-to-wall carpeting was rented for $95 a month. Bern’s Steakhouse, opening in 1956 across Marjorie Ave, now owns the property. It is no longer an apartment building.
