The Matt G Reeves company supplied bleachers and playground equipment but was mostly known for its fencing in the city of Tampa, which started in the 1930s. A Reeves Fence became synonymous with quality galvanized chain-link fences in the area. They did work for schools and residential properties and even installed their fence around the popular Sulfur Springs Dog Track in 1947. They offered free estimates and would finance every order with three years to pay. By 1998, Reeves had 31 distribution centers in 20 states. They sold to Diamond Home Services Inc. of Illinois for $42 million that year.
The building at 112 S. 12th St. was part of the Estuary section of town, which was developed primarily for industrial use in the early 1900s. The area is currently being revitalized as the Channel district of downtown. This building has been rehabilitated and is now home to Remedy Television + Branded, a company offering entertainment, business branding, and a content studio. The primary product is video for television, documentaries, short films, and branded content.
